What a gift it is to be a storyteller for a modern age - to wrap yourself up in a love story, to embody it and allow yourself to get swept away in the grandeur of a wedding day. In an increasingly fraught world where simply existing can be an achievement for a day, what a remarkable joy it is to spend a day surrounded by LOVE in all it’s miraculous forms. And it’s more than just the happy couple, it’s arriving to a space - an unconventional office - ready to work and all of the pieces fall into place because the team you’ve assembled truly adore what they get to produce just for you. One of the biggest reasons I love Holford Estate weddings so so much and count the days until I’m back is because Frances and Hannah have created the most extraordinary environment in which creatives can be inspired and thrive for our couples. There is no guesswork, the cogs turn and the day is smooth and effortless and every single person working is thrilled to be there for you. Without the idiosyncracies of navigating a wedding day, I take a deep breath and jump in headfirst, never shooting it the same way and finding endless nooks and crannies to play in. I feel trusted, I feel supported in my workplace and I can give the very best work for YOU.

It always comes back to you, dear ones. And yesterday it began and ended with the MARVELLOUS Becky & her sweetheart David. These gorgeous and genuinely wonderful humans met in medical school ten years ago and despite coming from Manchester and Belfast respectively, you can see just how blended their families have become. There was SO much warmth and love between them that radiated out and touched every amazing human included in their celebrations. Against Holford’s exquisite backdrop, we raced against ALL the weather and managed to sneak out to catch that glorious golden hour at the exact right moment. There was no guesswork - I believe so deeply that the goodness in you manifests and extends to touch all those you love before bouncing back tenfold.

And then, oh my days, they DANCED. There was a good old-fashioned knees-up the way only the Irish can do and with a large Belfast contigent represented yesterday that dance floor was PACKED.

There is a deep gratification felt leaving work at the end of a busy day, knowing I gave everything I could to give my couples the most magical experience and tell their story authentically and with all the love I feel for them reflected in the images of the day. I’ve said it so so many times, I fall in love with these beautiful faces who choose me to capture their day, Becky & David we’re certainly no exception. Again, what a gift it is to do this work. I cannot tell you just how wonderful it is.
