So hands up if you’ve finished work until 2020! Woohoo! ‘‘‘Tis the season for good food and family, for being thankful and generous, for PARTIES and a bit of sparkle. And injecting some serious holiday spirit (plus the aforementioned sparkle) into the proceedings is the GORGEOUS winter wedding of the STUNNING Alex & Allan.
I first met this amazing couple at Alex’s younger brother Alastair’s wedding to lovely Lou last year. The McKay family are just the best - and truly have made me feel totally at home. I had such a blast with Al & Lou so I was THRILLED that Alex & Allan got in touch with me early this year about capturing their epic day! They chose the 400-year-old Holdsworth House for their venue, a sprawling yet cozy listed venue tucked into the hills just above Halifax, West Yorkshire. And from start to finish it was a beautifully emotional day, filled to the brim with happy tears and Christmas cheer, ending with a big fat dance party. The happy pair actually met when they were children nearly 25 years ago but only reconnected just over 4 years ago. And the love and respect that this beautiful duo shares is so completely infectious. They are partners in every sense of the word and it was such an honour to be a part of their wonderful day.
And for my first visit to this iconic Yorkshire venue, I was blown away! With perfectly tended gardens, fabulous artwork filling the walls and cozy fires to keep snug, I had the best time exploring. I can’t wait to come back! A huge thank you is owed to Tracey for running an impeccably tight ship and looking after me so well.
