It’s been a YEAR this month and annoyingly, I’ve not quite kept up the blogging as well as I’d hoped whilst I’ve been emailing sneak peeks over and editing editing editing to stick to my deadlines! Another GEM of a wedding from last weekend was the AMAZING wedding of the gorgeous Abbie & Robert which bascially was the unicorn of 2021 weddings: they managed to get married on their first try, on their original date with zero postponements.Needless to say, their Manchester wedding was a PARTY.

Abbie and Robert got married at The Castlefield Rooms, which is located in one of the most ICONIC areas of Manchester, along the canal at the edge of Deansgate in Manchester. with an urban vibe. It was such a happy day and the sun shone all day long!

The ceremony was a legal ceremony with a beautifully personalised service by the amazing Manchester registrars and a room packed to the rafters with their nearest and dearest friends and family. During the ceremony there were so many happy tears from the groom and giddy giggles from our beautiful bride, it truly showed off their beautiful relationship and connection with support and jokes from their hilarious bridal squad - shout out to bridesman Dnaiel who kept us ALL laughing all day.

They decorated the area with sooo many flowers and we showered them in confetti as they walked back up the aisle after their vows which I loved. The reception was in a private room at The Castlefield Rooms – I love this venue because you can totally personalise it. Weddings at The Castlefield Rooms are amazing, because the staff is absolutely amazing.

The Castlefield Rooms is perfect for couples who want a big party, and is one of the most relaxed yet well-run places to get married in Manchester. The venue offers an amazing atmosphere for a wedding – and there so many incredible backdrops that are perfect for photos.

The couple had drinks and canapes in the afternoon, and the one-two punch of the amazing Morris from Ice Entertainment singing and on DJ duties after their original DJ sadly had to pull out last minute - thankfully Morris stepped in and threw one hell of a set! in the evening. The majority of Abbie & Robert's guests had made the mega journey down from Cumbria and you could tell that this raucous bunch were ready to PARTY! For dinner they had a killer barbecue buffet, and the first dance was a good old traditional wedding shuffle.

Abbie wore a classic white dress and Robert wore a three-piece suit and they looked really gorgeous. These beauties are so pefectly in sync with each other and I loved so much our mini portrait sessions around Castlefield, fully embracing all the quirks Manchester has to offer.
