Lucy & Adam - A Sweet & Soulful Golden Hour Wedding at Larkspur Lodge - Cheshire Wedding Photographer

If I had a gun
I’d shoot a hole into the sun
And love would burn this city down for you
If I had the time
I’d stop the world and make you mine
And every day would stay the same with you
— Noel Gallagher

Lucy and Adam got married at Larkspur Lodge, which is a country house in Knutsford with stunning grounds. It was the most beautiful wedding and the sun shone all day long!

The ceremony was a beautiful service in their local church just down the road in Toft. During the ceremony they had several beautiful readings from friends and family. It was really emotional.

They decorated the area with so much greenery & flowers, which I loved. The reception was in the main hall and grounds at Larkspur Lodge – I love this venue because it has so many great opportunities for portraits. Weddings at Larkspur Lodge are amazing, because the staff is just incredible and you know that everything is going to run smoothly.

Larkspur Lodge has a really laid-back vibe, and is one of the loveliest places to get married in Cheshire. The venue offers an amazing atmosphere for a wedding – and there are so many beautiful spots that are perfect for photos.

The couple had a cocktail drinks reception in the afternoon with lawn games, and a magic mirror photobooth in the evening. What was so apparent and lovely to see throughout the day is just how strong Lucy & Adam's connection is - how they're so in tune with each other and great care was taken in the details to connect their wedding day to their long and enduring relationship. For dinner they had a gorgeous roast dinner by in-house caterers Fork & Field, and the first dance was a romantic slow dance to Noel Gallagher’s If I Had a Gun. They finished off the evening with wood-fired pizzas from Larkspur Lodge's own converted firetruck pizza van and a party of epic proportions.

Lucy wore a classic white mermaid-style Stella York dress from Puure Bride and Adam wore a three-piece suit and they looked really beautiful next to each other. In a wonderful twist of fate, I have actually known Lucy's sister (and bridesmaid!) Katie for nearly a decade now and as they grew up in the same town as my husband, we have a broad social circle that overlaps which made the whole day such a lovely, comfortable way to spend the afternoon. Lucy & Adam were truly up for anything I threw at them and I loved that they seemed to trust me implicitly with their wedding. Our golden-hour traipse through a local farmer's field was deifnitely one for the books!

The couple got in touch with me last year, and their enquiry was so personal. They said they had been together for twelve years and they just wanted a proper celebration with everyone important to them, and I loved that they were so relaxed. It makes me feel like I've truly accomplished something when my couples trust me and know that they're in safe hands. Lucy & Adam only made the process feel supportive and loving and I'm so proud of the time capsule of their wedding day that we managed to produce.

I had the best day capturing this wonderful couple’s wedding day at Larkspur Lodge, here’s a sneak peek of what we got up to!
