Oh, I do love a teeny tiny wedding!
I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Olivia and Mike's gorgeous little wedding at Stockport Town Hall, with just under 20 of their very favourite people along for the celebrations. And honestly, it was proof that you really don't need a whole day (or a hundred guests!) to have a truly wonderful wedding.
Olivia and Mike only booked me back in September, with a rather exciting move to Texas on the horizon in February. With a new adventure just around the corner, they decided to gather their closest family and friends for a beautifully stylish, intimate wedding at one of Greater Manchester's most spectacular buildings.
And what a lovely choice they made.
Stockport Town Hall is an absolute beauty. That magnificent marble staircase! The architecture! The light! It's such a fabulous setting for a wedding, particularly when you're keeping things small and want somewhere that feels properly special.
Olivia and Mike opted for my two-hour Teeny Tiny wedding photography package, which gave us just enough time to tell the story of their day without taking them away from the people they'd come to celebrate with.
I arrived in time to photograph Olivia making her entrance, followed by their wonderfully heartfelt ceremony on the iconic marble staircase. Afterwards, we gathered everyone together for those all-important family photographs before sneaking away for a few portraits around the Town Hall.
And that was that! Two hours, a whole lot of love and a gorgeous collection of memories to take with them across the Atlantic.
One of my favourite things about this job is getting to know the people I'm photographing, and Olivia has been such a joy from our very first conversation. We've got on like a house on fire, and I've absolutely loved getting to know her and Mike in the lead-up to their wedding.
I couldn't be happier for these two. A beautiful wedding, a wonderful bunch of people and an enormous adventure ahead of them.
