They decorated the area with so many flowers and greenery, which I loved. The reception was in a clear-roof marquee at The Holford Estate – I love this venue because the light is gorgeous for portraits and candids. Weddings at The Holford Estate are amazing, because the staff is just incredible.

An animal-loving and outdoorsy couple, these happy couple found the PERFECT venue in the quintessentially Cheshire estate, Merrydale Manor. Though I’ve shot at Merrydale’s sister venue, Colshaw Hall several times, this was my first visit to Merrydale and I should have known I was in for a treat - their events teams are legendary, the venue exquisite and the the food by Barrett’s Event Caterers, INCREDIBLE.

Out of the blue in October 2021, I finally heard from Sarah who was tentatively dipping her toe back into wedding planning after so many disheartening earlier attempts. The plan was to scale it all right back, plan just a very small intimate family wedding at their local town hall following by a pub lunch up the road from their home.
