Rachael & Tommy - A Colourful, Chaotic (in the best way!) Love-fest GRUB Wedding - Manchester Wedding Photographer

The moon appears to shine and light the skies
With the help of some fireflies
I wonder how they have the power to shine, shine, shine
I can see them under the pine
But don’t, oh no no, hesitate, la di dah
’Cause your love, just won’t wait

Celebrating Love, Family, and Great Food: Rachael & Tommy's Unforgettable Wedding at Grub in Red Bank
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of capturing Rachael and Tommy's incredible wedding at the quirky-cool Grub in Red Bank (incidentally where we celebrated our own tenth wedding anniversary with a mega bash last year!). The day was filled with love, laughter, and of course, mouthwatering food. This power couple, who have been together for an impressive 15 years, are not only devoted partners but also amazing parents to their two beautiful children, Evelyn and Mikey.

The festivities began with a packed-house ceremony performed by their pal Dave who delivered a heartfelt and hilarious service, surrounded by their closest family and friends. The couple exchanged vows beneath a breathtaking floral arch, symbolizing the start of their new chapter together. As the sun shone brightly outside, there was an undeniable sense of joy and anticipation in the air (and not a dry eye in the house!).

After the ceremony, guests were treated to a delectable feast provided by the talented culinary artisans at Nina's Tacos & Bakehouse 32. The street food-style catering brought a trendy and unique vibe to the celebration, ensuring that everyone's taste buds were tantalized throughout the evening. From mouthwatering tacos to delectable baked treats, every bite was a true delight.

But the gastronomic journey didn't end there. Kit:ch wowed everyone with their impressive grazing tables, offering a sumptuous display of cheeses, cured meats, fresh fruits, and artisanal bread. The attention to detail and the quality of the ingredients truly elevated the dining experience, making it a feast for both the eyes and the palate.

As the evening progressed, it became evident that this wedding was not just a celebration of Rachael and Tommy's love, but also a memorable family affair. A dedicated kids’ disco by Born to be Wild Child kept the children entertained and provided them with endless fun throughout the night. The sweet treats didn't stop with the sweet table – an adorable ice cream trailer delighted young and old alike, adding a touch of nostalgia to the festivities. Whilst the kids were occupied, several incredibly moving and heartfelt speeches were made, particularly paying tribute to those no longer with us and really reminding us all that life is so short and precious and, at the end of it all, THIS moment is our why - to share space and food and time and to love each other as hard as we can.

As the sun set, the reception transformed into a mega party, with guests dancing into the early hours. The energy in the room was palpable, and it was clear that everyone was there to celebrate the remarkable love shared by this extraordinary couple. A sweet surprise was a video tribute to the newlyweds by their friends in Thailand where they had lived for 7 years before moving back to the UK a couple of years ago.

Rachael and Tommy's wedding at Grub in Red Bank was an absolute dream come true. From the exquisite food to the family-friendly atmosphere, it was a day filled with joy and laughter. It was an honour for me to capture the love and happiness that radiated throughout the entire celebration, and we wish this beautiful family a lifetime of pure joy shared all day.

Thank you so so much to the new Mr & Mrs Sweeney for having me along to capture their day - and to the EPIC staff at Grub led by Sophie and Jules who made sure it was run to perfection (and I was perfectly looked after!)
