Katie & Fraser - A Stunningly Beautiful Wyresdale Park Summer Wedding Day - Lancashire Wedding Photography

Honey, you are the sea
Upon which I float
And I came here to talk
I think, you should know
That green eyes
You’re the one that I wanted to find
And anyone who tried
To deny you must be out of their minds
— Coldplay

When it comes to capturing those precious moments on your wedding day, every couple dreams of having picture-perfect weather. However, Mother Nature had her own plans for Katie and Fraser's wedding day at the stunning Wyresdale Park. Despite rain and sunshine, we managed to create magic and deliver a truly unforgettable experience for the newlyweds and their loved ones.

As we arrived at Wyresdale Park on Saturday morning, dark clouds loomed overhead, and the forecast predicted showers throughout the day. Although the sky threatened to dampen spirits, Katie and Fraser's enthusiasm and excitement remained unwavering. With their positive attitude, we knew that this wedding was going to be something truly special. I had a ball spending the morning with Katie and her bridesmaids as they were pampered to perfection by the wonderfully talented Alice Marie Bridal (this wedding was chocka with so many stellar suppliers!!). After an emotional first look with Katie’s dad MIke, we sidestepped the cobbles over to the many ceremony room.

The ceremony took place in Wyresdale’s beautifully rustic barn. Dressed to floral perfection by the dreamiest florals of Bluebells & Daisies, the barn was elevated to a chic, sun-drenched venue. Surrounded by twinkling fairy lights, the couple exchanged heartfelt vows, and their love radiated throughout the room. The intimacy and love-filled atmosphere enchanted everyone present.

After the ceremony, we were graced with a break in the clouds, resulting in a beautifully sunny afternoon. Following a spirited confetti tunnel and some fun family snaps, the happy couple got the garden party drinks reception of their dreams, Seizing the opportunity, we whisked the bridal party away to the sprawling gardens for a series of gorgeous outdoor portraits. The lush greenery of Wyresdale Park acted as the perfect backdrop, encapsulating the essence of this joyful celebration.

As the evening progressed, the rain made its grand entrance once again, but this time it was accompanied by shimmering golden rays. Determined to make the most of the unpredictable weather, Katie and Fraser embraced the moment, venturing outdoors and totally trusting me and the wonderful Gareth of Analogue and Light shooting Super 8 film to show off the magic. Gareth and I were so giddy all day, having the most gorgeous humans and venue to capture, we were so spoilt for choice. Even though it was the first time we’d met, we worked brilliantly as a team and I HIGHLY recommend his very niche video offerings! The resulting photographs captured their love amidst the raindrops (some of which we had to quickly escape as a minor deluge threatened our golden hour), creating a truly romantic and unique ambience.

What truly made Katie and Fraser's wedding magical was not just the weather, but the love and support they received from their family and friends. The intimate gathering of loved ones created an atmosphere of warmth and joy, making every photograph come alive with emotions and cherished memories.
As we look back on Katie and Fraser's wedding, one thing becomes clear – love always shines, no matter the circumstances. Despite the rain and sunshine, their wedding day was a testament to their love for one another and the incredible support they have from their amazing families.

I cannot thank the new Mr. & Mrs. Hunt enough for the wonderful day I spent not only working alongside some brilliant wedding professionals but also getting to know them and witness the love that surrounds them. What a gift it is to do this work, to tell these stories.
