Caitlin & Bob - A Blustery but Beautiful Merrydale Manor Winter Wedding - Cheshire Wedding Photography
An animal-loving and outdoorsy couple, these happy couple found the PERFECT venue in the quintessentially Cheshire estate, Merrydale Manor. Though I’ve shot at Merrydale’s sister venue, Colshaw Hall several times, this was my first visit to Merrydale and I should have known I was in for a treat - their events teams are legendary, the venue exquisite and the the food by Barrett’s Event Caterers, INCREDIBLE.

Out of the blue in October 2021, I finally heard from Sarah who was tentatively dipping her toe back into wedding planning after so many disheartening earlier attempts. The plan was to scale it all right back, plan just a very small intimate family wedding at their local town hall following by a pub lunch up the road from their home.

Because ‘all we need is love’ and ‘it’s always darkest before the dawn’ - because what makes us most human is connection and hope and celebration. Because even in the most restrictive days, there was joy to be found.

Rebecca and Greg got married at St. Bartholomew's, which is their the local church in Wilmslow before moving onto the AMAZING Styal Lodge, just up the road. It was the most beautiful wedding and even the rain didn’t dampen the day!
